Transport Impact Assessment

The purpose of a transport impact assessment (TIA) is to assess the impacts of developments on the transport network and identify practical solutions to address these impacts. A TIA identifies changes that may potentially lead to reduced levels of safety and road network efficiency and provides solutions to ensure the surrounding transport network is amended to mitigate any identified impacts.  Such reports are a key document in enabling planning decisions to be made.

Since TTPP’s inception in 2015, we have completed above 1000 TIAs for a wide range of developments primarily in New South Wales. These have been provided for numerous types of land use development imaginable and have assisted in master planning studies, environmental assessments, feasibility assessments as well as for straightforward DA’s.

This work has included traffic counts analysis, traffic modelling, parking provision assessments, provision of green travel plans and transport access guides and negotiating relaxation assessments, travel access guides and green travel plans, and negotiating access and parking solutions with TfNSW and Council officers.

Should it be necessary, our Senior staff will assist in the Land & Environment Court by the preparation of expert witness reports and by giving evidence.
